Aegon II Targaryen (The Elder)

Second of his name, crowned in his father's grave-clothes by the green council before Rhaenyra could be told her father was dead. He held the Iron Throne through two bitter years of the Dance, lost his children one by one, lost his legs at Rook's Rest, lost his dragon and almost his life. In the end he was poisoned in his own bed by the lords who could no longer suffer him.
